Mysore

Mysore is a very pleasant town with super friendly people...who of course want to show you their or their friends' shop...but nevertheless, they are very kind and very welcoming people :-)

Our sejour got prolonged there 'cause we both got ill in our own way (not to copy each other). Baska got her stomach babtised and I got my traditional throat virus. We both trotted to a hospital, got inspected by a fat, unhealthy looking doc, got a huge bag of all kinds of medocs (antibiotics including!!!) all for 5 euros each. Then we nested ourselves back in our cosy room for the next 2 days...

We managed to see the palace there - splendid interiors that take you back to not so long time ago, when maharaja was giving an audience to all kinds of officials. The ruling dynasty here were Wodeyars. They kept the kingdom running quite powerfully from the 14th century, throughout British colonialism until the Indian independence. Chapeau!!!

We paid a short visit to Didi in Bangalore. Then off we went to the yoga destination - lovely 15-hour buses rides to get us to Patnem beach in Goa.
